Butter Bean Hummus (Houmous)

Ingredients
- 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15 ounce) can butter beans
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 3 tablespoons plain low-fat yogurt
- 5 tablespoons water
- 1/2 lemon, juice of
- sea salt, to taste
- fresh ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon sambal oelek (not in original recipe) (optional)
Directions
- 1 Put all ingredients in a food processor, apart from salt and pepper, and blend until just about smooth.
- 2 Alternatively you can put them in a mixing bowl and use a stick blender.
- 3 Season with salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.
