Ingredients

  • 2 cups rhubarb, finely chopped (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cups finely chopped onions
  • 2 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  • 1 Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 30 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
  • 2 Cool; store in the refrigerator.
  • 3 Makes a nice condiment for poultry, pork or beef.
