Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon maple extract

Directions

  • 1 Place sugar and water in small saucepan.
  • 2 Bring to boil.
  • 3 Boil just for a couple of minutes, so that all sugar is dissolved and syrup is clear.
  • 4 Add Mapleine (extract) to taste (as dark as you want it).
  • 5 Store in refrigerator, covered.
  • 6 This recipe can be adapted to make any amount of syrup- Just always double your sugar to water, ie 2 cups sugar, 1 cup water.
