Chiles Rellenos Sandwiches

Ingredients
- 1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chilies, drained
- 6 slices bread
- 3 slices monterey jack cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 -4 tablespoons butter or 2 -4 tablespoons margarine
Directions
- 1 Mash chilies with a fork and spread on 3 slices of bread.
- 2 Top with cheese and remaining bread.
- 3 In a shallow bowl, beat eggs and milk; dip the sandwiches in milk mixture.
- 4 Melt 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet.
- 5 Cook sandwiches until golden brown on both sides and cheese is melted adding additional butter if necessary.
