Feather Light Bran Muffins

Ingredients

• 1 cup 100% bran (Nabisco)
• 1 cup boiling water
• 1/2 cup Crisco
• 1 1/2 cups white sugar
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1 pint buttermilk
• 2 1/2 cups flour
• 2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups all-bran cereal (Kelloggs)

Directions

• 1 Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
• 2 Combine Nabisco 100% Bran and boiling water and let cool.
• 3 Cream Crisco and sugar.
• 4 Add eggs, buttermilk, flour, soda, and salt.
• 5 Fold in Kellogg\u2019s All Bran.
• 6 Fill muffin tins half full and bake 15 minutes.
